The HotHouse is WaikatoLink's Technology Development unit and
enables students to undertake prototype development or evaluation on technologies arising out of University research.
A number of companies have contracted the services of the HotHouse to undertake technology development and prototyping, market research, and business feasibility studies.
Currently the HotHouse employs 20 top-performing students from across the University; current HotHouse employees represent the Schools of Management Studies, Computing & Mathematical Sciences, and Science & Engineering.

Employment Opportunities
Employment opportunities for students may arise at any time of the year, though the HotHouse generally recruits new employees around a month in advance of the teaching recesses. New HotHouse employees are selected from either WaikatoLink’s student resource database, or from new applications received.
If you are interested in an opportunity to work at the HotHouse, we would be pleased to receive your registration of interest (comprised of covering letter, CV, academic transcript). Registrations of interest are accepted throughout the year, and your details will be added to WaikatoLink’s database of student resource.
